上にもあるとおり、学位としてはMaster of Scienceになるようだが、なんつうかね、非営利団体経営者向けのビジネススクールって感じかな。考えてみたらMOTってのもあるわけで、まあ理屈はわかる。とはいえなんだか景気がいいね、と思ったら、ウェブサイトにこんな説明が。

The nonprofit sector is one of the fastest growing job sources in the country, outpacing both private business and government. Nationally, there are some 1.8 million nonprofit institutions, of which more than 800 thousand are classified as 501(c)(3) charities. In New York City alone, the nonprofit sector contributes more than $46 billion to the city’s economy.

なるほど。そういえば最近「超」がつくお金持ちたちが続々と引退していくよなぁ、なんて関係あるのかないのかわからない連想もしてみる。確かにこの分野、他の分野に比べて経営スキルとか資金管理とかいったあたりへの関心が薄くなりがちなのかもしれない。それだけ大きくなってるなら、ちゃんとした運営者が必要だ。

「Fundraising Management」ってなんて訳すのかわからない（「資金調達管理」？）が、いったいどんな科目があるんだろう？と正直思う。で、見てみたらこんな感じ。

なるほど。思い切り実践的ぽい。具体的な説明はこちらも参照。

日本によくあるような、平日夜間と土曜日に授業を行うスタイル。学生は皆パートタイムであるとの前提。ふつうにやってれば2年で修了だが、4年まで在学可能。その期間内に12科目を履修してGPA3.0以上が修了条件。授業料は1科目あたり約3600ドル、と書いてある。学位のいらない人とかは部分的に履修できるらしい。サマースクールもあるようだし。学位取得のためには学費だけで合計約46000ドルが必要という計算。

教授陣はfundraising界(こんなふうにいうのかね）で長いキャリアを持つプロ、コンサルタント等。こういう人がたくさんいるわけだ。なんかこの世界、すごいね。
